Biographie

Dr. ALIA Zeid is an Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences A) in Agronomic Sciences at the University of El Oued (Algeria) and a researcher at the Laboratory of Biology, Environment and Health. He holds a PhD and a Habilitation Universitaire in Agronomic Sciences, with more than a decade of experience in higher education, scientific research, and academic administration. His research focuses on agro-ecology, integrated pest management, rodent ecology in arid environments, the valorization of agricultural waste, and the production of bioplastics from plant residues. He has led and contributed to nationally funded research projects, including a PRFU project dedicated to recycling potato waste into biodegradable bioplastics. Dr. Alia has published extensively in peer-reviewed national and international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, supervised numerous master's and doctoral theses, and served as an expert evaluator for research projects and PhD dissertations. His work contributes directly to sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and innovation in Saharan and arid regions, in alignment with national and international sustainability priorities.
