Implementation of Perturb and Observe Based MPPT Algorithm for Photovoltaic System

Abstract
This paper presents the implementation of perturb and observe (P&O) maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for a photovoltaic system which consists of PV panel, DC-DC Boost converter controlled by an Arduino microcontroller based unit and resistive load. The proposed system has high efficiency, lower cost and can be easily modified to handle more energy sources. The experimental results indicate that the use of the considered MPPT control increases the PV output power; hence increases the overall PV system efficiency
